Artist Interview: Agatha Wren

What effect has folklore had on the way you see the world?

Folklore has been crucial in building our understanding of nature across time. I love how folklore allows me to see the magic in the everyday plant, hill, lake etc… 

What stories help you understand your surroundings and inform the way you interact with the world?

Stories form the world around us, from different opinions, places, cultures… I think folklore has helped me to develop a deeper respect for our world, for nature.

What are the themes you are exploring? 

 Fantasy, spirituality, folklore, nature.

Tell us a little bit about yourself as an artist/writer:

I’m a visual artist who works mainly in ink, and focuses on themes of fantasy, folklore, spirituality, nature! I love incorporating my visual art and my work as a wellness and spirituality practitioner together.
